Biography: Victor Rose: Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting, Wichita State University, 1997, currently teaching for Butler County Community College at McConnell, most recent exhibit; Wichita City Arts, 5th Annual Arts Council Juried Exhibition. Victor Rose: Curator and Conservator Services, currently providing restoration and conservation services for art work at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Lake Point at Crestview, Lake Point at Rose Hill and Carriage House Retirement Center. Victor Rose: Guitarist, author of The Mandalic Guitar Encyclopedia, 1st CD “Songs for Meditation�? includes four ten minute songs with guitar, digital sampling and sounds selected in consultation with a clinical hypnotist, all designed to promote relaxation and meditation, 2nd CD “Solo Flamenco Guitar�? includes original arrangements of traditional Flamenco forms and some original Nuevo Flamenco pieces, 3rd CD “Sacred Christmas�? is a collection of sacred Christmas carols arranged by Victor using traditional Flamenco techniques. Victor is currently playing with two Latin music style groups, Samba Groove and Tangoesque. He plays in a Classic Rock group with his son Levi Rose. The band is called Nimbodog and their next engagement is at The Mexico Café, Delano on August 22. Victor also plays dhoumbec with a local Arabic group and local dancers. Volunteer work: Victor has been with the Boy Scouts of America for the past 11 years. He has served as Scout Master, Merit Badge Counselor and is currently Chaplin for Troop 638.
